Local Government Units of Baguio, La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay updated the BLIST Governing Board members regarding the conducted activities specifically the establishment of green buffer zones in their respective municipalities. Said updates were presented during the 3rd Governing Board meeting on August 23, 2022 at Paragon Hotel, Otek Street, Baguio City.

Environmental Management Bureau-CAR through its Ambient Monitoring Section also presented the Air Quality Monitoring results for the first semester. The air quality is generally good except at Capitol, La Trinidad, Benguet for PM10 parameter.  

Meanwhile, EMB-CAR Regional Director Ma. Victoria V. Abrera proposed the drafting of Environmental Code for the Local Government Units to enhance the regulation of air quality in the province. The Philippine Environmental Code allows the LGUs to establish specific environment management policies and prescribe environment quality standards. She further informed the body regarding the newly-installed AdBoard on the Air Quality Monitoring Stations in Lower Session and La Trinidad. The digitalized Adboards are intended for public information on the real-time data of criteria pollutants such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Ozone (O3), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), PM10 and PM2.5 present in the air in specific areas.
