Stakeholders of BLISTT Airshed Governing Board convened for the last quarter of C.Y. 2021 on November 23, 2021, at Fortune Hotel, Baguio City to discuss the progress of previous affairs on airshed management, LGU accomplishments, and action plans that were presented during the third quarter.
Engr. Raul G. Cubangay, Chief of Environmental and Enforcement Division presided over the meeting and recapped the significance of airshed management to mitigate air impurities for public health safety.
During the discussion, the EMB-CAR secretariat and each representative of BLISTT municipalities presented their Air Quality Monitoring and accomplishments for the 3rd quarter, their assessment of Vehicle Kilometer Travelled (VKT) on vehicle usage equivalent to pollutants released, the quantity of air particulates, Roadside Inspection, Testing, and Monitoring operation, and the number of apprehended vehicles on emission inventory in BLISTT area in adherence to resolutions on Air Quality Management.
Ms. Wilhelmina Lagunilla, Chief of Ambient Monitoring Section, informed the body of the proposed purchase of calibrated machine on emission inventory deputation to be distributed to respective LGUs. She further scheduled the next action planning on emission reduction for the second week of January 2022. In attendance were Ms. Jocelyn Floreca of UP-Baguio, Ms. Rheena Yuana Allay of DA-CAR, Mr. Richard Limpin of DTI-Baguio, Ms. Sheila Marie Singa-Claver of DOST-CAR, Ms. Mylene P. Tauli of DOT-CAR, Mr. Lito Mucat of DA-CAR, Mr. Josem Zambrano of PIA, Ms. Angelica Tinoyan and Mr. Arthur A. Pedro of LGU La Trinidad, Mr. Froilan C. Marquez of LTOP, and Mr. Norman Nicoli T. Parado of CEPMO.
